This page is in and a fan homage to the pluck, beauty, and unsung
talents that is Tiffany Brissette.
Hers was a sterling acting career cut short by the cruel vagaries
of typecasting and the gradually seedy demands of Hollywood. I
regret, as one of many contributors to Small Wonder, that
Tiffany's multifaceted talents weren't exploited in comedic drama as
most of the writers wished. In failing to persuade the producers to
push the sci-fi sitcom envelope with this young lady, we failed
Tiffany ourselves.
We all have our own eyes and feelings of how we saw her, from her
earliest commercials to her appearances in ill-fated TV pilots and
special interest shows. The world will forever miss the maturing
acting talents of this young lady whom, in my opinion, would've
surpassed the gaudy glamour set of popular culture. Though Tiffany
could've salvaged her thespian career by taking on coarse and sexually
provocative scripts like many of her once-innocent contemporaries, she
perferred not to go the cheap route and instead lifted her eyes and
dignity to embrace the wonders of God and caring.
Since this page is dedicated to Miss Brissette, all postings made
here via
TiffanyBrissette@fan.net will remain undisturbed and unanswered by
the managers of this board though comments are always welcome and
seriously considered. This still developing page (career and off-stage
photos and Brissette-specific features to come) is meant for Tiffany's
eyes and heart to know us in her own quiet way and for all of us to
share how she all too briefly yet eternally touched us.

I grew up in the little town of Sayreville, NJ. Where I lived, Small
Wonder was broadcast on one of the local TV stations (I think what is now
UPN), and it used to come on right after another syndicated show, "Fight
Back! With David Horowitz", every saturday night. This was probably the
only night my family and I ever watched TV together. This show was rather
lovingly put together, depicting your typical American family...living
with a robot. Miss Brissette is a talented actress, being able to go back
and forth between Vicki and Vanessa. While I do not remember her
commercials or her cameo apperances, It stuns me that someone with her
talent would not have been cast into other television shows. I am
currently in the process of trying to get a defunct game show back on the
air...if I can convince someone to bring the show back, I'd love to have
Tiffany as a celebrity guest....especially in the hopes that a major
producer would be watching and could give her SOME sort of a contract.

Whoa! I am E-mailing Vicky! Actually, Tiffany Brissette. I was wandering
around and I remebered the show somehow. I used to watch it everytime! My
sister and I that is. Yeah, that was definitely my favorite show when I was
little. Hey there is a song about the show by a band called The Vandals. They
are a punk band. Yep, it is a funny song but I don't think it is one you'll
like, Oh well. I just wanted to e-mail you because I thought it would be
weird. When I was little I used to pretend I was Jaimie and my sister would
act like Vicky. It was fun. Any way you don't have to mail me back. I was
just also wondering what you look like now and if you are in any TV shows or
movies or stuff. There should be a picure of you on your fan club page. It
would be neat to see you. oh well.

Hello. My name is Karen DeLong. I wasn't sure that there was a website

I think that you were so cure in that show. Now that I see you, you have
grown a lot. You are so pretty too!! Wow!! I can't believe that I am
actually writing to you! It's kinda weird in a way. I remember I used to
watch you all the time when I was younger and then they took it off the air.
I know you probably get a lot of e-mails and stuff, but if you could write
back and answer a few of my questions..that'd really be nice. Do you ever
talk to any of the cast from Small Wonder? Did you enjoy doing that show?
How did it feel to act as the robot? Well if you get time, I'd really really
enjoy to hear from you. I am 16 yrs. old and I will be a junior at Hubbard
High School in the fall. Thanks again!!

I watched the show and always wondered, how can she do these laughable lines
and not breakup? Always you had to keep a straight and unemotional face, you
acted better than the most famous actresses I think. How did you do it ?
I am looking for the episode you did called "Adopting Vicki", if you have it I

When Small Wonder first came on the air, for some odd reason my entire family
was
around the television to watch it. If I remember, it debute the same week as
"Manimal". My brother, father and I all loved "Manimal" and thought it would be
on forever. My grandmother said she thought it was spooky. It was cancelled
within six weeks. When we all watched Small Wonder, my father, brother, and I
did
not forsee a very long life for the show. My grandmother said, "I think the
little girl's cute." And that was that; it surpassed Manimal by about four
years.
Since that time, may grandmother has passed away, and we have no idea which
shows
are going to be hits or not.

Dear Tiffany,
I am a 24 year old male who has been a big fan of yours since 1989 when you
starred on Small Wonder, I was very sad to see it go off the air. I think
you are very pretty and I am sure that even though I have not seen you in 9
years you have not changed a bit. At the Blockbuster where I work near the
Big Y I am always trying to get a Small Wonder videos in stock but Brad
keeps scratching them off the order sheet (Brad is my manager). I hate him
so much that when he does that. Then I want to hurt him alot after work but
that is not what you would want. At night I have been working on the Small
Wonder movie script which I would send you but it has to be perfect. In my
story "Small Wonder 2000" you are effected by the year 2000 bug and you
(not you but Vicki your character although I have trouble sometime keeping
them separate) start to think it is 1900 not the year 2000. Oh also this
movie takes place in the year 2000, I forgot to tell you that. Anyway you
start to act really like a person from 1900 and it has to be fixed. But all
your family is dead so you have to find someone else to fix you. So you
find this 24 year old male who likes to be on the Internet and he goes
inside to fix you. Dont worry he is very gentle and loving. My friends on
AOL chat room like to say that you would definately beat Punky Brewster in
a fight. I dont know why you would be fighting but I bet you would too.
Anyway I dont want you to be thinking I am some kind of wierdo but could
you sent me a picture of what you look like now? Dont worry if you dont
look the same, I bet you are still the best little girl in the world. My
mom took down all the pictures I had of you before but I would keep this
picture hidden this time. Please email me back because in my life you are
the chosen one.
Love,

Subject: Robots
Dearest Tiffany, I am a fan of yours for a long time, and have been amazed
by your various performances over the years. I think your work on Small
Wonder as that kooky l'il robot was one of the grandest performances ever.
Those four years that the series ran I was glued to the television waiting
to see what mischeif you'd get into next. I was oh so sorry to see that the
show was cancelled, or as I prefer to think of it, "on hiatus". Your
portrayal of a robot was the best. I actually thought that you were one the
very first time I saw the show. What a dummy I was. Duh! I have since
"grown up". Now I realize that there are actually very few actual robots on
TV, many of them not even on sitcoms. I always hoped to see you on
StarTrek: The Next Generation as a friend of Data. I thought that you two
would make a great team, because you always got into mischeif and Data
always solved the problem. I used to draw pictures of the two of you doing
things together, like playing on a swing set or going shopping together. Do
you ever talk to Brent Spiner? He's the man who plays Data the robot. There
was a robot on Get Smart, too, named Hymie. Do you know him? So many robots
on TV don't even look like robots. I heard that the Lost In Space show had
a robot that looked like a robot. That became a movie. And so did the
StarTrek show. Will Small Wonder become a movie? That would be a good
movie. You could have all the TV robots be in it and you could all solve
crimes or something. I have drawn pictures of you doing things like that
too so if you need ideas I have pictures. I have seen some of the other
movies you have done, but I was disappointed because you didn't act like a
robot in any of them. What do you do to get into "robot" mode? How do you
think like a robot? Do you hang out with the toaster? Haha! I'm just
kidding. I have a lot of jokes like that. What did the robot say to the gas
pump? "Take your finger out of your ear when i'm talking to you." Haha! How
many robots does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Just one. Haha! That one
is my favorite! Why did the robot cross the road? It was programmed to.
Hahaha! I collect all kinds of stuff about robots and I plan on making my
own robot some day. I made one out of cardboard this summer, but I
accidentally left it out in the yard overnight and someone stole it. It
never did what I programmed it for anyway, so I didn't care too much.
Sometimes I pretend I am a robot and that someone stole me and I have to
escape. Or when I go to the mall I act like a robot. I "program" myself to
ask people for change so I can buy things. I say it like a robot, too. I say
"I am a robot. I want to buy some gum." . Some times they give me pennys
and some times they yell at me. They can probably tell i'm not really a
robot. I'm not as good at it as you are. Do you ever ask for change as a
robot? You could probably get a lot. I read that you like to do things like
riding horses. Do you ever do them as a robot? Have you ever ridden a robot
horse? Where do robots come from? I hope you will send me the answers to
all my questions. I have to go to the mall now. I have bills to pay.
I love you and I love robots,
David

Even though I have never met you in person and probably never will I

Chances are this long overdue message will never reach you but in the

Hi. Yes, I am yet another fan of yours. Boy, I bet you feel a bit
overwhelmed by all this mail don't you? Well, let me introduce myself.
My name is Donna and I am 24-years-old. I was born January 14th, 1974.
My two great passions in life are reading and music. I have been a
voracious reader since I was four and I play the piano and clarinet.
I also like movies and traveling. I am working on a second Bachelor's
degree, music therapy. You're probably wondering what that is. But it
would take too long to explain. I have one degree in psychology.I am not
married (and probably never will be)*sigh* But enough about me.
I just wanted to say that your show was one of the many I grew up
on in the early 80's. I thought you were very talented. I also had a
crush on Jerry Supiran. I was tickled to death to see there is a page
on Small Wonder and it was great to read up and see how you are doing.
I want to commend you on your steadfast Christian faith.I am also a
Christian and admire your ability to stand strong in a place that is
so fickle (I think we know what place I am talking about). It seems that
Hollywood doesn't always have a very good tolerance of Christian
performers because they won't give up their values. Some people wonder
how you managed to get through that alive and sound as you did, but I
can tell them in one word. God! You knew that if Hollywood loved you
one minute but then booted you out of there the next day, God and your
family would be there to fall back on. I would say that I would like
to hear from you, but that is so cliche because all the fans say that
and I know you are busy. But you seem like a nice person to get to know.
Well, I have said enough. God bless you and good luck.
Yours in Christ,
Donna Ashley
P.S.
Was any of the other cast or crew members Christian or was it just
you? If so, that must have been hard. Maybe not, though.

and life for ratings and publicity. That's not to speak of the undeserved
jealousy and hate you must get everyday. Fame just isn't worth the stress.
You have all my sympathies and praise moving on to a better real life.

I never really asked myself why I watched small wonder, in any case,
the show was part of me when I was growing up... it was just recent that
I found myself to be a fan of the show, and years from now... fiction
will be reality. Like Kamandi, the last boy on Earth.
Ms. Tiffanny, I'm sorry not to know your name before since I only

to see if by some chance someone had a web page in regards to the show
and sure enough, someone did. I was so glad, and my daughter and I sat
and checked it out and then went into your site. We met you several
years ago while you were doing Small Wonder. You came to Phoenix,
Arizona to appear on a local talk show and we ended up meeting you after
the show. You and your mother were having dinner at the Hyatt Regency.
So, do you have any gospel albums available. I have never heard you
sing and I would enjoy hearing you. My neice and her mother (my sister)
were also there with us that night that we met you and from what I
understand my niece and you had became penpals with each other and had
even talked on the phone a few times after that night. I don't know if
you remember her, but her name is Tina Robinson and her mothers name is
Becky. I guess Tina and you are the same age. So what are you doing
now and what are your plans for the future? I would love to hear from
you and hear more about your life after small wonder.

Subject: Hello!
Dear Tiffany,
I came upon your website purely by serendipity, and I'm certainly glad
that I did! The show "Small Wonder" brings back some great memories for
me, because it brings me back to the time when my nephew, Dan, was just
a little boy, and we would watch the show together. I think he had a
crush on you (he was about eight when the show was in its first season
in 1985), as I remember that he would talk about you (Vicki) all of the
time! I really enjoyed the show too. In January, 1986, I brought my
nephew with me on a vacation to Los Angeles as a combination
birthday-present (belated) for the both of us (He was born October 16,
1977, and I, October 14, 1962 ; a neat coincidence!), and while we were
out there, I was able to obtain tickets to a taping of "Small Wonder",
which was taped at the Fox studios, if I remember correctly. My nephew
just thought I was the greatest for getting the tickets. After the show,
I asked him if he wanted to go down and meet you, as you were signing
autographs for some folks in the audience. We started to go down to
where you were, and Dan got cold feet! He became so nervous, he turned
pale! I'm not trying to embrass him, it's just that whenever I think of
that time, it brings a smile to my face! Today, he is married, and is
starting on a family of his own. I think I'll call him up tomorrow and
ask him if he remembers our trip to the studio. I'll get a chuckle out
of his "blushing" remembrance!
You should be highly commended for your stand of faith and morals! In
this day and age, people will sell themselves out in order to make a
fast buck! I, too, am a Christian, and I know first hand how hard it is
to exercise your principles in the workplace. I am a computer mainframe
operator, and have missed out on certain "promotions" because I will not
compromise my Christian beliefs by lying and cheating in order to get
ahead! You have risen above the rest, and with a degree in Psychology,
you will make a real great career for yourself, and I pray all the best
for you that God has to offer through Jesus Christ his son!
Are you going to continue on with your education? I think education is
very important, and that everybody should obtain as much as possible.
I've been out of college for a long time now, but, I am planning to go
back and take some history classes just for fun. I have built a large
collection of rare books printed before 1800, and, this has given me a
real love for history, as well as natural science, philosophy and
political science. If, in the course of your studies, you have the need
of material in any of these areas, please do not fail to contact me, as
I probably have what you are looking for, and if I don't, I know where
to obtain it. I can either make copies for you, or send you the original
materials to borrow, all free-of-charge, of course. Your show has given
me a lot of happy memories, and if there is any way that I can repay
that, I will not hesitate!
Well, Tiffany, I'd better close for now. Remember, if you wish any
materials, for free, please contact me at :
spotts60@yahoo.com (my e-mail address)
I don't submit my snail-mail address out in the open, as I don't want
the world to know where my collection is located (I hope you
understand). I will supply it to you if you have a need for any
materials. Take care of yourself, Tiffany, and may God richly bless you,
always, because you certainly deserve his best!
With Love, Your Friend in St. Louis,
Steve Potts.

Hey Tiffany,
What's up?, I've started watching "Small Wonder" since I was seven and a half.
My personal opinion is I really think that the show is fantastic, and I had a
crush on your character Victoria Lawson.
Now, I'm 21 and the show wasn't on since they took it off the air on my local
station. I used to watch the show with my friend of mine before we go roller
skating saturday nights during the winter. I like all the episodes.
While the show is off I watch other shows like WWF Raw, and Full House. I have
hobbies, I listen to music, writing, drawing, watching videos, and sorts of
stuff. Two years ago, I went to a concert at New York,NY MSG the band is called
KISS. The band that wears alot of makeup, but It's awesome. It was a reunion
with the four original members. Kiss is my favorite period, and I like Gene
Simmons (Demon) he is awesome with the tongue wagging, fire breathing, and
bloodspitting. I'm collecting their items for a memorabilia.
When I was young, I had this dream that you, Jerry Suprian, Paul Scott, and
myself formed in a band like them. You on lead guitar, vocals, Jerry on drums,
vocals, Paul on rythym guitar and lead vocals, and myself bass vocals. It was
cool now I imagined that we reunited together to play classics.
Well, Wish you luck on the rest of your career.

Hello, Tiffany!
I am not certain whether you got my last message on the Internet, so I decide
to write another one just to be on the safe side.
I have been a longtime fan of yours ever since you started on that sitcom
"Small Wonder" on September 7, 1985. I enjoyed watching you portraying Vicki
the Robot. Your character looked like a human but sounded like a robot; an
interesting and cute concept use since they used Hymie the Robot on
"Get Smart".
I admire you a great deal since you were on that show, and I am on your side on
the choices you make since then. I know it's disappointing on your being
typecast as a robot, but hang in there on whatever you are doing now. You are
still Number 1 in my book.
Congratulations on your participation at last year's marathon, I always feel
that you're a winner even though you didn't win. I hope you will make a great
psychologist someday.
If you receive this message, please write one to me in response. Also, will you
please download a recent autographed picture on what you look like now? I'll be
glad you did. I love you, beautiful one.

Hi, Tiffany,
My junior high crush followed your career ever since Webster and I
remember your last appearance on the 700 Club. That really made my day!,
seeing the kind of beautiful person you grew up into.
Now I am puzzled not about why you stopped acting (I can imagine a
thousand reasons why) but about why you haven't popped in anywhere
on the web to say hi. Millions like me would love to hear what happened
to you and what you're doing now. We can only imagine the worst from
your silence.
I heard that Hollywood shafted you and that was wrong and I can see
hating them for it, but please don't turn your back on fans like me
who agree with you. It would do SO much for us just to hear one
simple "hi" from you just to know you're alive. You don't have to
give us your life story or gossip stuff. Just a simple "hi!" would
do so, SO much!
There are ways you can pop up on the web without sacrificing your
privacy. Places like AOL (America On-Line) are experts on keeping
celebrities private lives intact in chat-rooms and forums. Please
call them and them that you'd like to say "hi" to your fans.
Please try and let us know what are you doing these days?
With peace and love,

writing to you. I wanted to write to you again, because, I already know
everything about you. So, I would love to tell you a few things about myself. I
know that you enjoy concert piano. Well, guess what? So do I. I mean--I like

you enjoy swimming, & reading. I do, too. I mean--novels based on TV shows such
as "Full House", "Sister, Sister", "Party of Five", "The Secret World of Alex
Mack", & "The X-Files". Of course, I read my bible as well. I also know that
you also enjoy skiing, snorkeling, skating, & horseback riding. I do, too. But,
there's only 1 problem.
I don't know how to skate, ski, snorkel, nor ride a horse. I hope that you're
not angry at me. If so, I'm really sorry. I also think that you're an
outstanding gymnast. I mean--you're like Kerri Strug, Shannon Miller, &
Dominique Moceanu in 1. I would give you a perfect 10 every time. Oh, by the
way, I saw a picture of what you look like now in your biography. So, I'll tell
you what I look like.
I'm an African-American. I'm 5 feet, 10 inches tall. I have black hair, & brown
eyes. I'm a student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I'm majoring in
Acting, & Writing. My other favorite hobbies are the following:

Writing, Watching TV, Listening to music, Collecting, & listening to TV theme
songs including the "Small Wonder" theme, Creating things, Going on the
internet, & walking.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
By the way, Tiffany, I've enjoyed your show so very much. I've decided to
create a new boardgame about "Small Wonder". I'll tell you about it in my next
letter. The game that I've been working on is now finished. I'll give you a
clue.
The answer is: "It's "Monopoly", "Sorry", & "The Price Is Right" in 1."
Well, Tiffany, that's it from me for now. But, don't worry. I promise that I'll
write to you again. Don't forget write to me. My e-mail address is

Hi Tiffany.
I ran the L.A. marathon last year and had I known you were pounding
pavement too I would've sprinted to first to say hi to you! I've seen
your work since Webster to become one of the top three fave actresses
I've grown up with. I read about the risk and sacrifice you made
doing Small Wonder but I hope you make another try at acting, TV or
community playhouse. Please let us know where you're doing either.
Your talent and personality's too precious to let fade away.
Your Forever Fan

Subject: Just to know you're alive.
Dear Tiffany:
I hope you get to read this because my greatest fear is that something very
bad happened to you and that you're no longer with us. If you are reading
this then I have another fear, that we'll never hear from you again.
On the Small Wonder Home Page we read alot of how hard you worked and
never got much appreciation or rewards from Hollywood for it. I also read
that Small Wonder likely ruined your promising acting career. I can see how
that would make one question how just things are and shut everything from that
life out, but there are people, many many people who remember you not just as
Vicki, but as a actress who we would've loved seeing playing different roles
through the years. Your talent could've made that crossing from kid roles
to adult ones hands down, I just sense it. But you never got the chance.
Another fear I have is that maybe your disappointment's turned into
something
beyond bitterness. I read that you're (or were) a fundamentalist Christian. We
all heard of stressed-out kid actors like that who if they reach a breaking
point they just explode and throw all that strict living away. Maybe not
getting any more parts was your point (and who could blame you) and if that
happened my
fear is maybe you've ended up like Dana Plato or doing skin flicks like Soleil
Moon-Frye to prove to other people and yourself that you're a real woman and
not some little girl or a robot. It's not like we hadn't seen it happen before.
Hollywood does strange bad things to people.
I know you still have your head together and just living a normal quiet life
if you've given up acting. I most worry is that if you hate what Small Wonder's
done to your career and don't want to think of it anymore and think that your
fans only remember you for that. I liked you playing Vicki, but I would've
loved seeing what else you could've played, but Small Wonder is the only show
in town to remember you by.
I hope, I pray that one day you will come (even just once!) and tell us your
story and what happened. Not because we want to pry into your private life, but
just to know that you're alive and because we all remember you and love you and
still care, no matter what you've done since or who you are.
Sincerely,
Maven Snow

I'm taking a big risk here, and will probably end up making myself
look like a fool (which wouldn't be the first time) but, well, let
me just say that I have always been a awfully big fan of yours,
and I hope very much to see you again in some 90's shows or cameo
appearances. I was just a young kid who had to rush home every day
to watch the show (to the point of memorizing entire scripts of shows
for about 2 or 3 seasons), and I had a big crush on you. :)
Anyway, I'm married now and have a daughter of my own, and I *think* we're
the same age, so I've always been curious over the years how things
have gone for you (since TV is obviously not big for you anymore).
Just another fan letting you know your talent didn't go unloved.

Dear Miss Brissette:
This is a blatent fan letter, no doubt about it. I hold many a fond memory of
watching your T.V. show while I was in elementary school, and into Junior High.
For a while, I lived in dallas, and they would show 2 episodes of Small Wonder
every sunday night. Sure, I was in my late teens at the time, but it didn't
matter. Your show is a perfect model for the Lost American Sitcom, where plot
and believabilty don't matter as long as the cast, crew, and audience share a
certain magic, an enerjetic flow that can entrance a viewer for a 30 minute
stretch. I really can't remember my favorite episode, although the one where
you
plug the stolen T.V. into your armpit comes to mind. Do you have a favorite
episode? Do you keep in touch with the former cast members?
I am a 21 year old resident of austin, Texas, and no, we don't all really talk,
dress, and act like cowboys! Just a select few of the lower intellegence level
that I see on the Bus as I ride to work.
What in the entertainment world catches your eye these days? Movies? Music?
I will let you go, as I am sure you are a busy person.
thank you very much,
Chris

Dear Tiffany Brissette
I watched Small Wonder in junior high and saw you in Webster too so you can say
I had a crush on you. In a sense I owe my career to you because watching you
as Vicki got me interest in robotics in health care systems.
I tried to catch you in shows after Small Wonder. I feel badly that you had to
stop acting but I understand. We all make our own paths no one else can walk.
All I wish for is a sign that you see my (and these other messages) and know
about this wonderful page site about the Small Wonder show and about you. Any
sign at all is all I ask so I know all our praises and hopes about you arent in
vain. People all over the world remember and love you and hope your life turned
out for the better. Please give us a sign, any sign that you're here.
Your forever fan and friend,

Hi Tiffany (Vicky),
I am Anand, Small Wonder was being hired in India since 1994 on all week day
5.00 pm. I used wind up all my college work early and watch these awesome
episodes. I even used watch the reruns at the night time. I am a computer
consultant, so I enjoyed it much better. When I went through the sites I found
we shared the same year of birth and I always imagined you to be a little girl.
My little brother and my mom loved you and they still do. Today I am in USA and
I found people still remember and appreciate your work. Wouldnt it be great to
have a new episodes with Vicky as big girl and still doing the Small Wonders?.
Thanks
Your Admirer
Anand Gopalan.
PS: Would you write back, so that I can mail it back to my family in India?

Dear Tiffany Brissette
I watched Small Wonder when I was in second grade. I always thought you
did a good job bringing the role of Vicki to life and really made it work.
That was probably the hardest role on the show. I only wish that I could
have seen it for more than a year, but at that time, Fairbanks only had 2
network TV stations. I do hope eather a local or cable station that we can
recieve here starts to carry the show.
I will probably be going off to collage next year. What was it like for
you? Well, please write back when time permits and take care.
Robert
PS: Good job in that marathon.

And I was wondering if there is a way to order the shows on video tape.

Hi Tiffany!
These days your TV series "Small Wonder" is being shown in India, and
millions of Indians love you as that cute little robot. Your acting is
also widely appreciated.
Of course you are a smart young woman now and perhaps bored of being
remembered as a Robot!
I was wondering why you decided to take up Psychology at college? What
is it that fascinates you about it?
With best wishes to you and your family,
